About Me 

Hello there, I’m Whitney, a digital marketing expert, content creator, and analytical investigator. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina and I bring my unique perspective to everything I do.

I have collaborated with brands across different sectors such as banking, beauty, fashion, healthcare, and the dental industry.

I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Advertising Art Direction, Graphic Design, and Marketing from the highly esteemed Columbia College Chicago, and I did it all by working incredibly hard and staying focused on my dreams. My enthusiasm for creativity motivates me to stay updated with the latest trends and to continuously learn.

Education

My passion for unleashing creativity and knack critical thinking led me to pursue advertising art direction, graphic design, and marketing at Columbia College Chicago. From there, I discovered my talent for effectively communicating brands and honed my skills in analytics to create successful campaigns. I take pride in introducing brands to people at exactly the right time and helping businesses make data-driven decisions for their marketing strategy. Currently, I am wrapping up my data analytics certificate

 

Career

My journey began in 2002 during a high school vocational 2- year study of advertising design.

After graduating, I enrolled at Columbia College for Advertising Art Direction, Graphic Design, and Marketing. I held an internship at Burrell Communications. Over the several weeks that I shadowed an esteemed Copywriter and an Account Manager, I learned that this field was people and strategy focused. Relying on equal parts design, creative writing, and strategy.  Requiring lots of brainstorming and aligning the creative brief with the client goals to spear a successful campaign.

I committed to my life’s work.

I’ve always been fascinated with the impact of great ads.  I wanted to understand how memorable campaigns are born. Then I elevated my research and brainstorming skills to create a few of my own ads. 

Currently, I’m wrapping up my Data Analytics certificate, and freelancing as a social media content manager, and digital marketing branding consultant. I also serve as the subject matter expert in my current role as a Coordinator.

I’m constantly developing and fine-tuning the my skills to evolve with the industry as a top digital marketing, strategic analyst. 

I most enjoy conversations with my my peers, mentoring, and networking with marketers through professional opportunities and events.  

My dream is to collaborate with marketers, designers, and analysts who are as passionate and curious as I am to do work that has a positive impact for the businesses and people we believe in. 

My Approach

I believe in a collaborative approach to crafting innovative solutions for the client. With each project, I approach with an open mind and a commitment to understanding the unique needs and goals of the brands’ voice. By combining my graphic design skills with my expertise in social media strategy and advertising to the proper audience. I visualize the concept needed, present, and execute. 

Informing and engaging with the audience to grow its following and strengthen the reputation on all platforms. Also echoing the voice of the consumer, to inspire them to get to know the brand. I provide comprehensive support that includes everything from account set-up, content creation, website design, logo development, strategy, and analysis. 

Creative Hobbies

Creating graphic arts, oil painting, writing poetry, and reading are a few of my creative hobbies.

I do them primarily for enjoyment, but they always lead me to meeting cool people, interesting conversations, and developing skills directly applicable in my professional life.
